There was a TV show in the 80’s in the U.K. called “Arena.” It was always on past my bedtime, but every Thursday night, I would stay awake, dead quiet, hoping to hear the TV downstairs play the theme later that evening. I loved that music. I wasn’t till years later that I learned that it was Brian Eno’s Another Green World – a beautiful piece and a great idea from the producers of Arena to choose it. Music to picture is “sight to the blind,” and, when melded artistically, can be amazing. I devour every opportunity to create music in this way.
